We usually spend two weeks on a theme. We incorporate into these themes letters of the week, numbers, colors, shapes, songs and poems.
We have three storytimes daily; two circle times which consists of stories, weather check, calendar, songs, fingerplays, theme discussions, daily plans, tomorrow's plans, etc.; two outdoor playtimes when weather permits; and long periods for free play to explore our centers and theme-related and other activities.
Our centers include Block Play, Dramatic Play, Book Nook (literacy/quiet, individual activities), Tot Spot (toys for the younger crowd), Art Table, Discovery Table (math/science), Music and Movement, and Messy Corner (sensory/sand/water/playdough/easel/light table/art).
We celebrate several tradional holidays and birthdays throughout the year.
